Huge drug ring: 40 marijuana cakes in a Fotuner car

(Baonghean.vn)- The police stopped the car, controlled and arrested Trinh Xuan Manh and Nguyen Huu Trung. When checking the car, they discovered 2 suitcases in the trunk containing 40 marijuana cakes and 200 synthetic drug pills.

Recently, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department received information that a subject in Lao Cai often entered Nghe An and then passed through Cau Treo Border Gate (Ha Tinh) to buy drugs (marijuana) in large quantities and send them to the northern provinces for consumption. During the investigation and verification process, the police force identified this subject as Trinh Xuan Manh, residing in Pom Han Ward, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province. Project coded 555M was established to combat this subject.

The investigation team discovered that Trinh Xuan Manh frequently went to Nghe An to gather with acquaintances in the area, rented hotels to use drugs. After that, Manh borrowed a car and went directly to Cau Treo Border Gate (Ha Tinh) to buy drugs in large quantities.

On October 16, upon receiving information that Manh was present at the Saigon Kim Lien Hotel with some acquaintances, the Task Force sent a task force to ambush and monitor him. At around 10:00 a.m. on October 17, Trinh Xuan Manh and another subject got into a Fotuner with license plate 37A-175.64 and left the hotel.

To avoid detection, Manh drove his car around Vinh City. Not yet reassured, Manh continued driving to Cua Lo town. When he felt that no car was following him, Trinh Xuan Manh drove straight to Cau Treo Border Gate (Ha Tinh).

The unpackaged marijuana was hidden by the subjects in 2 suitcases.

Manh's actions could not escape the eyes of the police force. The task force sent 3 working groups to closely monitor all movements of the subjects. Discovering that the subjects had delivered money and received goods, the working groups continued to follow. At around 3:30 p.m., when the subjects arrived at Thanh Khai commune, Thanh Chuong district, realizing that the opportunity had come, the task force coordinated with Thanh Chuong district police and Team 3, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department of the provincial police to decide to solve the case.

During the inspection of the car, they discovered 2 suitcases in the trunk containing 40 marijuana cakes and 200 synthetic drug pills.

At the police station, the subjects confessed to all their crimes. On October 18, the authorities opened the seal, took samples for examination and handled the subjects according to the law.
