Nudist festivals are either a nightmare or the ultimate thrill for tourists.The vast majority of participants are nude models for artists to create works of art on their bodies.
Bodypainting festival in Austria
The International Bodypainting Festival, usually held in July each year in Austria, is one of the world's largest and most well-known nude festivals. Each year, more than 30,000 people participate in the event. Many models and artists from various countries flock here to create works of art on the human body.
Burning Man festival in the USA
This festival is held annually, from the last Monday of August to the first Monday of September. The festival takes place in the Nevada desert, where artists can freely create works of art; fashion designers bring a variety of creative outfits, and dancers deliver eerie yet sensual performances.
People attending this festival can wear anything they like, from the most bizarre outfits to complete nudity, as long as they feel comfortable. On average, more than 60,000 people attend this festival each year.
Naked run festival in Spain
This festival takes place two days before the San Fermin Run (in early July each year) and is organized by the animal rights organization PETA. Participants are required to be shirtless, wear a pair of bull horns on their heads, and have a red scarf around their necks.
The event was organized to protest the cruelty of bullfighting. Later, it became famous and attracted many tourists.

Additionally, a naked run is also held in Denmark, taking place in the town of Roskilde over four days. This is the largest cultural and music festival in Northern Europe, featuring over 180 bands and 100,000 attendees each year.
Hadaka Matusi Naked Festival in Japan
Thousands of Japanese men will strip off their clothes during the Hadaka Matsuri festival, held annually in February. According to ancient beliefs, the Japanese believe that bare-chested men have a greater ability to absorb evil spirits, thereby warding off bad luck. In reality, Japanese men do not go completely naked but still wear their fundoshi loincloths during the festival.
According to Japanese estimates, this festival attracts tens of thousands of attendees every year.

Naked bike festival
Since 2003, after organizing several naked bike rides to protest war, Canadian social activist Conrad Schmidt came up with the idea of organizing a worldwide naked bike ride.
This naked bike day is celebrated in many places around the world. In the Southern Hemisphere, it's held in April, while in the Northern Hemisphere, the festival takes place on the second Saturday of June.
