Airlines accept free transportation of relief goods to Central Vietnam

Vietnam Airlines Corporation has announced that it will receive and transport free of charge relief goods from agencies, social and charitable organizations to people affected by floods in the Central region.

Accordingly, from October 18, relief goods for flood victims in the Central region will be reserved and given priority for transportation on flights of Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific and Vasco from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.

Relief companies will waive shipping fees, fuel surcharges and other fees related to air transport of these goods with the hope of acting as a bridge to share some of the difficulties that people in flood-affected areas are facing.

The program applies to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, People's Committees of provinces and cities, Vietnam Red Cross Associations at all levels, and charitable funds (licensed and chartered by state agencies).
