However, more than 6 years after its opening, the Rộ shopping center in Võ Liệt commune, Thanh Chương district, remains in a state of disrepair.It remains abandoned.

On December 20, 2007, the People's Committee of Nghe An province approved the construction plan for the Ro Market Commercial Center in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district. In August 2008, the Northern Investment and Trade Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Hanoi, officially commenced construction of the project.

The project has a total investment of approximately 21.9 billion VND. The entire project is planned on an area of ​​over 30,000 square meters, with 10 main buildings.

Following the opening ceremony on May 19, 2010, the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong District and the People's Committee of Vo Liet Commune implemented procedures to relocate the traditional Ro Market, which was already overcrowded and situated amidst a residential area, to this new location. However, due to various reasons, this has not yet been accomplished. Therefore, more than six years after its opening, this multi-billion VND commercial center remains abandoned.

The kiosks are too small and cramped, mostly used for storing firewood and straw.

Many structures have now deteriorated. The entire area is used for storing construction materials, and parts of the houses are used by residents to store firewood and straw, or are simply abandoned…

To resolve the situation, the investor proposed supplementing the planning, partially changing the land's function so that more housing could be built on the site. According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Thien, Head of the Industry and Trade Department of Thanh Chuong District, this plan has been approved by the province, district, and commune. Currently, the investor and relevant authorities are carrying out the necessary procedures.

This place is also used by locals to keep their buffalo and cattle at night, and buffalo dung is left everywhere.

Mr. Tran Van Ky, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vo Liet commune, added: "Over the past period, the investor has listened to the opinions of the small traders, including being willing to expand the kiosks to suit the climate conditions and business habits of the traders. Hopefully, after the planning changes and functional adjustments, this center will soon be welcomed by the people."
