Strive for 5% of junior high school graduates to switch to vocational training

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 26, the Department of Education and Training held a training conference on career guidance and student orientation after junior high school and high school.

The conference was attended by nearly 500 officials and teachers from education departments and secondary and high schools in Nghe An province.

Overview of the training session

During the 3 days, students will be introduced to 4 topics on career guidance, streaming in comprehensive fundamental innovation of education and training, streaming of students after graduation, methods of organizing career guidance education, career counseling and career counseling equipment.

The purpose of the training is to help staff and teachers apply professional knowledge and skills in career education to organize career education activities, career counseling, and streaming of middle and high school students.

This is also an opportunity for cadres and teachers to exchange experiences in order to do a good job of streamlining according to the plan set out by the province by 2020, with 5% of junior high school graduates and 46% of high school graduates being streamed and trained in vocational training.
