At 10 am this morning, hundreds of inmates at the Xuan Phu Rehabilitation Center (Xuan Loc), Dong Nai province, continued to vandalize property. Many climbed onto rooftops and fences, shouting. They broke down doors and threw plastic chairs, buckets, and clothes at the police officers guarding the perimeter.

At 10:50 AM, despite the center's leadership using loudspeakers to urge the trainees to disperse, they still crowded towards the gate. The police had to resort to forceful measures, using tear gas. Several leading trainees were subdued by the police.

Yesterday, over a hundred trainees here also broke through walls, burned furniture... and escaped. While fleeing, they threw stones at security guards and police officers attempting to apprehend them. Hundreds of riot police from Dong Nai province were mobilized to protect the center throughout last night.

Earlier, on the night of October 23rd, more than 500 trainees also broke down doors and spilled onto National Highway 1, blocking cars and motorbikes to beg for money, causing chaos. Dong Nai police had to mobilize riot police in coordination with local forces to surround and apprehend them, but so far they have not been able to capture them all.
