According to Colonel Xuyen, on the afternoon of September 11, the police received a report of a robbery and a serious stabbing of the victim. Due to the serious nature of the incident, which caused public panic, the Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department of Investigation has directed the deployment of forces to quickly investigate and clarify the incident.

The district police deployed many investigation teams, examined the scene, and searched dozens of suspects in the area. After more than a month of investigation, the police determined that this was a case of self-inflicted stabbing, not robbery. Therefore, the police invited Mr. Ngoc to fight. Faced with undeniable evidence, Mr. Ngoc admitted to stabbing himself and committing the robbery.

According to Colonel Xuyen, although he stabbed himself in the stomach, Mr. Ngoc created a scene that looked like a real robbery. Mr. Ngoc stabbed himself in the stomach, causing serious injuries. The scene showed signs of disturbance, the wallet was thrown in the middle of the rubber garden, next to it were many small bills... "We spent a lot of effort to investigate and clarify the problem. The authorities also administratively fined Mr. Ngoc 1 million VND for reporting false information" - Colonel Xuyen said.

Colonel Xuyen added that according to Mr. Ngoc's testimony, he was in a lot of debt and his family was not happy. In addition, on the day of the incident, Mr. Ngoc received money from the company (Mr. Ngoc was the manager of a company - PV) to pay the workers. However, he used this money to pay personal debts, so he may have created a fake robbery to delay the payment.

Previously, Mr. Ngoc reported that at noon on September 11, he received information that someone was cutting trees in the rubber plantation, so he went to check. When he arrived at Lot 15, suddenly two young men wearing masks rushed forward, holding knives, threatening Mr. Ngoc, forcing him to hand over all the money he had on him. After handing over the entire amount of 50 million VND, one of the two subjects used a knife to stab Mr. Ngoc once in the right abdomen. Doctor Pham Quang Tinh, Deputy Head of the Department of General Surgery (Dak Lak Provincial General Hospital), said that Mr. Ngoc was hospitalized with a wound in the lower rib area, the knife blade still stuck in his abdomen.
