IS threatens to massacre US voters on Election Day
The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization called for the “slaughter” of American voters on the day they go to the polls to elect the US president.
According to the Times Of India, Ritz Katz, director of the SITE Intelligence Group, said on Twitter that the threat appeared in an essay by the IS media center Al Hayat. Accordingly, IS claimed that the group had “come to slaughter you and smash your ballot boxes”, and asked Muslims not to vote.

IS claims there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans in its “anti-Islam and anti-Muslim policies”. Mr Katz said IS wanted to attack Election Day to disrupt the process and attract media attention.
The essay, written in English, included a photo of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, US vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, along with a photo of Khizr Khan - the father of a Muslim US soldier who died in battle - holding a copy of the US Constitution during a speech at the Democratic National Convention.
According to USA Today, US intelligence officials last week warned that the terrorist group al-Qaeda could attack on November 7 in the states of New York, Virginia, Texas. They are assessing the credibility of terrorist threats on election day.
