Raising awareness of compliance with laws on traffic safety and order

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the action program on ensuring traffic order and safety in 2016, on the morning of November 11, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee organized a training course on state management of traffic order and safety in 2016.

The training course was attended by staff members of departments, branches and sectors who are members of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee; representatives of provincial social organizations; staff and experts of the Traffic Safety Committee of districts, cities and towns; staff in charge of staff members of universities and colleges in the province.

Overview of the training session.

At the training course, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee reported on the traffic safety situation in 2016. Accordingly, in the first 10 months of 2016, the whole province had 210 traffic accidents, killing 144 people and injuring 165 people. Compared to 2015, the traffic accident situation decreased in all 3 criteria.

Lecturers from the Road Administration Department 2, Ministry of Transport, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police; Inspectorate of the Department of Transport and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee delivered lectures on a number of topics: Some shortcomings, inadequacies, and difficulties in road management and maintenance, ensuring road traffic order and safety that need to be overcome; New points on regulations on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road and railway traffic according to Decree 46/2016/ND-CP dated May 26, 2016; Solutions to control, prevent, and handle the situation of rudimentary 3-wheeled vehicles carrying bulky goods in the province; Solutions to control vehicle load in the province and propaganda orientation to raise awareness of traffic participants in 2017 and mass mobilization work to ensure traffic safety in the area.

At the training session, trainees also focused on discussing the contents of propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on management, protection and clearance of road traffic safety corridors; violations of traffic safety laws that pose a high risk of traffic accidents and propaganda, combining measures and sanctions for administrative violations; promoting the role and responsibility of members of the provincial traffic law propaganda subcommittee and building a cooperative relationship between sectors, levels and social organizations in the work of propagating laws on traffic safety and order...
