The victim was Lo Van Thanh (born in 1985), residing in Na Nieng village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district.

The incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on November 21. Mr. Lo Van Thanh had just finished drinking with some friends at his house when he had an argument with his wife, Ms. Lo Thi Luan, commonly known as Giang. At that time, Ms. Giang was using a knife to cut vegetables for the pigs. During the argument, Ms. Giang's knife accidentally stabbed Mr. Thanh in the abdomen, causing the victim's intestines to perforate.

Discovering that her husband was seriously injured, Ms. Giang called the neighbors and took her husband to Que Phong District General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to the severity of the injury and the long journey, Mr. Thanh died at 4:00 p.m. the same day.
