Need to upgrade Thanh-Binh-Tho raw material route soon

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 22, delegates of the Provincial People's Council including Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Nguyen Van Do - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Dang Thanh Tung - Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee had a meeting with voters of Thanh Son commune, Anh Son district.

The comrades chaired the meeting with voters of Thanh Son commune, Anh Son district.

One of the issues that many voters of Thanh Son commune are concerned about and recommend to the Provincial People's Council delegates is the need to pay attention to investing in the construction of Thanh - Binh - Tho road. This is a vital traffic route but has now seriously degraded, not only affecting the transportation of raw materials for the sugar factory but also greatly affecting the lives of local people.

Comrade Dang Thanh Tung - Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee announced the expected agenda of the 3rd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

"In order for the Thanh - Binh - Tho raw material route in Anh Son district to be effective in the long term, we hope that relevant levels and sectors will soon have solutions to support and upgrade it so that people in the raw material area in Anh Son can feel secure in investing in production," voter Le Hong Ngoc - village 7, Thanh Son commune suggested.

Explaining the voters' petition, comrade Nguyen Van Do - Director of the Department of Planning and Investment said: Thanh - Binh - Tho route - the main road connecting communes and districts has been in use for nearly 15 years so it has degraded.

Comrade Nguyen Van Do gave good news to the people: the Thanh - Binh - Tho road upgrade project is in the list of 7 projects in the Central region socio-economic support program of the World Bank ADB. This is a model project among 7 projects of the province and has been directly surveyed by the sponsor. It is expected to be implemented in 2018 and will be expanded to double the current size.

At the meeting, voters of Thanh Son commune reflected on the situation of overcharging in schools without close supervision. Voter Tran Ngoc Phuong of village 1 of Thanh Son commune said: "Many schools take advantage of the "socialization label" to overcharge but have not been closely monitored. I suggest that the education sector should include socialized revenues in the construction fee collection."

Responding to voters on this issue, Comrade Nguyen Van Do - Director of the Department of Planning and Investment said: The policy of socializing education aims to mobilize all resources for investment in education. However, in the process of implementation, some places have "transformed" and lost the trust of the people. Provincial People's Council delegates will make recommendations and closely monitor to make this source of revenue public, transparent and effectively use it.

Voter Tran Ngoc Phuong, village 1, Thanh Son commune, reflected: The supervision of socialized education fee collection is not strictly managed.

Some other opinions reflect on the situation of sand and gravel mining, which has left serious consequences, causing resentment among the people, affecting the land and environment. The rural power grid infrastructure has seriously degraded, affecting the lives, production and safety of the people. Voters suggest that the government should pay attention to renovating and upgrading the rural power grid; attracting many investment projects to create jobs for rural workers.

Voters of Thanh Son commune also hope that the government needs to orient the market for farmers, avoiding the situation where people produce massively but cannot consume agricultural products.

Concerns and worries of Thanh Son commune voters have been received, explained and clarified by the Provincial People's Council delegates. The voters' opinions will be compiled by the Provincial People's Council and recommended to relevant units for consideration and resolution./.
