On November 17, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court held a first-instance trial of defendant Le Thi My Hoa (31 years old, from Ben Tre) for the crime of "Forgery of seals and documents of agencies and organizations". After deliberation, the panel of judges sentenced defendant Hoa to 10 months in prison.

The investigation results showed that in 2011, through the purchase of land, Phan Thi Doan Trang and Nguyen Thi Tam got to know each other. In April 2012, Trang discussed with Tam to forge documents to mortgage to get money to spend and Tam agreed.

To do so, Trang took a photocopy of her family's household registration and gave it to Tam to make a fake one. On April 4, 2012, Tam completed a fake file for a house on Tay Thanh Street, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City. All the documents in this file were under the name Ngo Thi Phuong Linh (unknown background).

Around April 2012, when she learned that Mr. Ngo Tuong Nguyen had accepted to pawn real estate documents, Trang asked a broker to mortgage the aforementioned fake documents to borrow 500 million VND. To do this, Trang and Tam met Le Thi My Hoa and asked her to pretend to be the homeowner, Ngo Phuong Linh, to conduct the transaction, for 10 million VND.

To facilitate the mortgage, Tam told Hoa to prepare a 2x3cm photo for him, while Trang took an ID card with Linh's name and gave it to Tam to stick Hoa's photo on. After everything was done, on April 10, 2012, the group went to a restaurant to make the transaction, but while negotiating, they were recorded by Tan Phu District Police.

Given the seriousness of the incident, on October 5, 2012, Tan Phu District Police decided to prosecute the case, issue a defendant and a temporary detention order against Hoa. However, at this time, Hoa had left his residence without reporting, so the investigation agency issued a wanted notice on January 4, 2013. More than two months later, Hoa was arrested.

Verification by the authorities later showed that Tan Phu district does not have a house and the owner does not have the name Ngo Phuong Linh as stated in the above records. The appraisal results also showed that all the signatures and seals in the records are fake.

Regarding the case, in addition to committing the acts as stated above, Phan Thi Doan Trang also committed many similar acts in other cases. Meanwhile, defendant Dang Hoang Tam is on the run and has been wanted by the investigation agency./.
