Russia develops advanced weapons for air and naval special forces

(Baonghean.vn)- Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on November 25 that the weapons that Russia developed in 2016 were aimed at ensuring the operations of the country's air and naval special forces in Syria.

“Measures, which have already been planned, are being implemented to implement the military’s technical upgrade program. The sharing of modern military equipment among the military forces is steadily increasing, reaching over 50 percent by the end of 2016,” Shoigu said at a science and technology conference.

“Moscow is gradually developing promising weapons systems based on new physical principles. The system of military control at various levels is being improved,” Shoigu also said.

This year, the system resources are designed primarily to ensure the air and sea operations of special forces in the Syrian battlefield, implement the program of modernizing weapons for the army, as well as support regional authorities in mitigating emergency situations.

The operation of the above system is based on the application of the most advanced domestic technical solutions.
