At the meeting, nearly 800 small traders doing business at Vinh train station market were informed by the City People's Committee about the approval in principle for the Hai An Market Construction Investment and Management Cooperative to approach, survey and implement the planning plan to rebuild Vinh train station market.

The Cooperative also presented a plan for investment in construction, management and exploitation of the market. The project is to invest in building a new, modern Vinh train station market with a scale of 5 floors, with over 1,000 business kiosks. The total investment cost for the market construction is nearly 900 billion VND, the project implementation time is 2 years. During the construction process, the Investor will arrange a temporary market area for small traders to do business and trade.

After listening to the investor's presentation, the majority of traders disagreed with the City's policy in implementing the Project. At the same time, they made recommendations to the City and the Market Management Board on the current market fee collection and usage levels. Accepting the opinions of traders, the representative of the City People's Committee said that they would report to the superior leaders to reconsider the policy of calling for investment to rebuild Vinh train station market.
