However, Japan is the country that has successfully tested many self-driving car models to serve the people such as self-driving taxis or most recently self-driving buses.
It is known that Shuttle Robot is the first electric bus model to complete a self-driving test when it crossed a distance of 400m along Lake Tazawa in Semboku, Akita, a northern province of Japan.
The bus was traveling at 6 mph (10 km/h), and was carrying six passengers, which was half the capacity of the bus, as it could carry a maximum of 12 people.
In July, the manufacturer of Shuttle Robot, Japanese technology company DeNA, launched this vehicle. However, it was not until this test that the car actually completed a self-driving test on a public road.

After successful testing, DeNA plans to make the Shuttle Robot self-driving bus an important means of public transport in Japan, especially in sparsely populated areas, according to the Japan Times.
Not only in Japan, similar self-driving car tests are also taking place in Australia and Finland, showing the special interest of manufacturers in this field./.
