At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial People's Council delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong informed the voters about the socio-economic situation in 2016 and the expected content, program, and timing of the third session of the 17th Provincial People's Council. Accordingly, the session is expected to take place from December 14-16. This session will consider 22 reports and pass 34 resolutions.

In a spirit of openness and democracy, a large number of voters in Truong Thi ward submitted 17 opinions with 42 specific points and recommendations to the People's Councils at all levels on issues such as: handling traffic violations and parking on sidewalks in front of provincial agencies to clear sidewalks; the slow process of issuing land use right certificates; addressing flooding in canals and ditches during the rainy season; inadequacies in the implementation of the VNEN education project; the many inconveniences in administrative reform; the need for practical and effective investment in the construction of civilized urban areas, avoiding a race for achievements and investments exceeding the financial capacity of the people and the State budget, leading to prolonged debt and delays in repayment; the relocation of the Saigon-Nghe Tinh beer factory to restore a clean living environment for residents; combating the sale of unsafe food; and the deficit in the health insurance fund...

One of the issues of greatest concern to voters in Truong Thi ward is the handling of illegal construction violations at the Truong Thanh 2 apartment and townhouse complex, developed by Truong Thanh Co., Ltd. The crane collapse accident on November 14th has sounded an alarm regarding the inspection and management of construction projects in the ward and Vinh City. Voters request that leaders at all levels intensify investigations into the cause of the accident and closely monitor construction work at all sites.
After listening to voters' opinions and aspirations, the provincial and city People's Council representatives acknowledged and directly responded to issues within their authority, promising to convey the suggestions and proposals to the Provincial People's Council at the next session.
