(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Cooperative Union has received 23 applications for the first awarding of the title of Artisan and Skilled Craftsman from 6 out of 21 districts and cities in the province. After review, it was proposed to award the title to 10 people, including 1 artisan and 9 skilled craftsmen.

The process of considering nominations for these titles is carried out in accordance with Decision 73/2015/QD-UBND dated December 21, 2015, of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, promulgating regulations on awarding the titles of Artisan and Skilled Craftsman in the field of small-scale handicraft and traditional craft villages in Nghe An province.

The districts with artisans and skilled craftsmen who submitted applications include: Yen Thanh (1 artisan), Quy Hop (3 artisans, 2 skilled craftsmen), Quy Chau (2 artisans, 4 skilled craftsmen), Quynh Luu (1 artisan, 1 skilled craftsman), Ky Son (1 skilled craftsman), and Que Phong (1 artisan, 7 skilled craftsmen).

After reviewing the criteria and documentation, the Cooperative Union and the Provincial Organizing Committee selected and proposed to the Provincial People's Committee the awarding of the title of Artisan to 1 Master Craftsman and 9 Skilled Craftsmen. Accordingly, the title of Artisan was proposed to be awarded to Mr. Nguyen Trong Ha, for his work in sculpting and carving, and for being the Chairman of the Ornamental Plants Association of Yen Thanh District.

Nine applications for the title of skilled craftsman were submitted, including: Sam Thi Hanh, Sam Thi Bich, Sam Thi Khuyen, Lo Thi Nga - brocade weaving; Lo Hai Truyen - rattan and bamboo weaving; Nguyen Cong Bang - fine art carving; Hoang Nhat Minh, Tran Thi Loan - incense production; and Le Van Thoa, mechanical engineering.

Currently, the Provincial Cooperative Union is finalizing the dossiers to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for a decision to recognize the above individuals as artisans and skilled craftsmen.

The reward accompanying the certificate of recognition for artisans is equivalent to 10 months of basic salary, along with other benefits. The reward for skilled craftsmen is 3 months of basic salary, along with several incentives in vocational training, support for development, and registration of intellectual property rights for outstanding products...
