To have today, the collective of teachers, staff, workers, and students through the periods of Anh Son 2 High School cannot forget the first period (1977 - 1986) full of difficulties. At that time, the school had 18 classes (6 grades 8, 6 grades 9, and 6 grades 10). To meet the needs and aspirations of children from 4 communes in the lower district to study, the meetingAt the end of 1976, the district People's Council delegates proposed to split Anh Son High School into two branches and branch 2 located in Linh Son commune, located on two hills of Cho Ao and Cho Bom of village 2, including 16 teachers, 6 classes, 240 students, in charge of teacher Nguyen Dien Hoan - Vice Principal.

In the 1986-1987 school year, the Department of Education and Training decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Khac Hong as Principal, Mr. Nguyen Dien Hoan and Mr. Hoang Vinh as Vice Principals. At that time, the school had 8 classes with 320 students, mainly children from Cao Son, Tao Son, Linh Son, Lang Son, and Khai Son communes. The economic conditions of the people were still poor, many students in Lang Son and Tao Son communes had difficulty traveling, had to cross the river, which greatly affected the quality of study.

The school's facilities are still lacking, the practice rooms - laboratories, libraries, playgrounds and training grounds are not up to standard. The classrooms and offices are still makeshift. Teachers, students, parents and local people have contributed bamboo and reed to build classrooms with thatched roofs and earthen walls. Despite the difficulties and shortages, following the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: "No matter how difficult it is, we must compete to teach well and study well", the whole school has strived to achieve many outstanding achievements.

In the 1986-1987 school year, the school received great joy and encouragement: The school was approved to be established and Linh Son commune took the lead in completing the building of the school building under the direction of the district; along with that, the school welcomed Professor, Minister of Education and Training Pham Minh Hac to visit. In the 1990-1991 school year, along with the general situation of the country's Education and Training sector, the number of students decreased abnormally, from 12 classes to 6 classes. Redundant teachers had to be transferred from one place to another.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hong - Principal, Mr. Hoang Van Vinh - Vice Principal retired according to the regime. There were more difficulties and challenges. In that situation, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training and the leaders of Anh Son district decided to merge Linh Son Secondary School with Anh Son 2 High School, named Anh Son 2 Secondary and High School; at the same time, Mr. Nguyen Dien Hoan was assigned as Principal, Mr. Cao Xuan Son and Mr. Nguyen Van Thi as Vice Principals.

Although the school entry period was short, only 8 years, it was very meaningful, because thanks to that, Anh Son 2 High School stood firm and developed as it is today. Overcoming that period, with the guidance and support of the Department of Education and Training, in the following years, the school grew and developed rapidly, achieving remarkable achievements.

To be worthy of the assigned task of training high school students, in July 1998, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1203/1998.QD.UB on separating Anh Son 2 Secondary and High School into 2 schools: Linh Son Secondary School and Anh Son 2 High School. With the spirit of continuing innovation, considering education as the top national policy, Anh Son 2 High School continues to grow with remarkable progress in all aspects: The school's facilities are increasingly built spaciously, gradually meeting the requirements of teaching and learning in the direction of promoting positivity, modernity and friendliness. The school has a large campus with a total area of ​​over 50,000m2, a solidly built fence system, a head office area, classrooms and functional rooms are arranged reasonably, the landscape is harmonious, creating a green, clean, beautiful and friendly environment.

Facilities for English, IT and specialized subjects are guaranteed to meet standards.

Currently, the school has 27 classes with nearly 1,000 students and 31 standard classrooms, ensuring one-shift learning. In addition to cultural classrooms, the school has enough practice rooms for Physics, Chemistry, Biology - Technology, soccer fields, volleyball, badminton, ... meeting the standards of a national standard school.

The staff and teachers are constantly growing, sufficient in quantity, improving in quality with 72 people, 100% of teachers have qualified and above standard qualifications, including 10 masters, 4 teachers studying for postgraduate degrees, 15 teachers achieving excellent teachers at the provincial level and 42 party members.
