Provincial Fatherland Front leaders attend Great Unity Day in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of November 14, Nghia Phu village, Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district held a ceremony to celebrate the 86th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day, the national great unity day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were comrade Vo Van Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, representatives of leaders of Quynh Luu district, Quynh Nghia commune and many people of Nghia Phu village.

Comrade Vo Van Tien presented the photo "Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton" and gifts from the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to Nghia Phu village.

With 300 households, many years ago, Nghia Phu was a poor village in the coastal commune of Quynh Nghia. In recent times, the Party cell, executive committee, and socio-political organizations of Nghia Phu village have strengthened the strength of great solidarity, encouraged people to compete in patriotism, strive to rise up, and contribute to the successful implementation of local socio-economic goals.

The National Great Unity Day in Nghia Phu village was very joyful, divided into a ceremony and a festival.

By developing production, expanding industries, and building cultural life in residential areas. Up to now, the annual economic growth in the village has reached 11%; the economic life of households in the village has developed quite well, with an average income of 30.5 million VND/person/year; rich households account for 35%, well-off households account for 60.5%, average households account for 1.4%, poor households have decreased to 3%; The rate of cultural families has reached 96.5%...

The homegrown art program is elaborately staged.

Spiritual life in the village has improved: 100% of households use electricity, have audio-visual equipment, and have motorbikes; 98% of households have guaranteed sanitation facilities; Social order and safety are always stable.

Responding to the campaign of the whole people joining hands to build new rural areas, Nghia Phu is one of the top villages to reach the new rural area finish line. People donated 925 m2 of land with a total value of nearly 1.5 billion VND, and contributed their efforts and money to build 1.2 km of concrete ditches worth nearly 2 billion VND. In 2016, the village continued to build 210 m of concrete ditches, mobilized the donation of nearly 50 m2 of land, opened a 150 m long road... contributing to Quynh Nghia reaching the new rural commune standards 1 year ahead of schedule.

Many people participated in the festival, excitedly watching the skit "Where is the fault" on the topic of food safety performed by the village art troupe.

In Nghia Phu village, the work of encouraging learning is always taken care of, with 80% of families being studious, 75% of clans encouraging learning, with many students being excellent at the province and district, many children passing the entrance exams to universities and colleges across the country.

At the ceremony, the Front Committee of Nghia Phu village summarized and evaluated the patriotic emulation work in 1 year and launched the emulation in 2017. The emulation content includes 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

Rewarding groups and individuals who have made many contributions to the movement of the village and commune.
