(Baonghean.vn) - Mrs. Ho Thi Triem (99 years old) in Hamlet 3, Thanh Van Commune (Thanh Chuong) is living with her two daughters. The eldest sister, Phan Thi Ba, is blind and the younger sister, Phan Thi Bon, has a mental illness. All three mother and children are unable to work and rely entirely on the State's support system.

At the end of this year, Mrs. Triem will be 100 years old. She has been seriously ill for a long time and cannot walk. The two sisters have to take turns watching over and taking care of her.

Sister Ba is 64 years old this year, although she is more alert but is blind so she can only grope around the house. Sister Bon is nearly 58 years old, sometimes smart, sometimes crazy due to a persistent mental illness.

Sister Ba also only heard that: when she was just over a year old, she had eye pain. Because her family was poor, her parents were away at work, and her sisters and I were at home together and could not go to the hospital for treatment, her eyes were damaged. It has been more than 60 years now.

Although Sister Bon was mentally unstable, she was healthier and stronger. At the age of 23, she was asked to marry him. After giving birth to two sons, she continuously fell ill, so her husband's family kept the children and chased her away. After living with her mother, she occasionally fell ill again and left home to wander. In 2006, she was lured to China to do business. Luckily, at the end of 2010, she found her way home.

Although the family only had three children, but because Sister Four was mentally unstable and had a stubborn and eccentric personality, she refused to let Sister Three eat with them. Although Sister Three was blind, she had to cook her own meals. The main food was dried fish that could last for a week and some vegetables and pickles that the neighbors brought.

The house is old and dilapidated, with no valuables. Electricity is provided by the commune. The mother and her three children receive a monthly subsidy of less than 2 million VND, living hand to mouth.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy - Secretary of Thanh Van Commune Party Committee said: with the state's subsidy for demolishing dilapidated houses, it is impossible to build a house for Mrs. Triem. Her family does not have counterpart money, nor do relatives.

Currently, the commune leaders are discussing calling on and mobilizing people and mass organizations to donate to repair the house for the mother and her three children. At the same time, the commune Women's Union is assigned to send people to regularly monitor, care for and support the family when necessary.

The family of Mr. Triem and his three children is currently in a very difficult situation. We hope to receive support and help from philanthropists and the community to help ease the family's difficulties.
