Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos works with Military Region 4
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 8, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Ba Hung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Laos, visited and worked at Military Region 4, to review the cooperation situation between the Military Region and Laos from 2012 to present and the cooperation plan in the coming time.
Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region chaired the reception and worked with the Deputy Minister.
Since 2012, Military Region 4 has coordinated with Lao provinces sharing the border to do a good job of managing and firmly grasping the political security situation and social order and safety on the border between the two countries.
Military Region 4 also helped Lao military units train 360 officers, complete projects to build village clusters, welfare works, academies and schools worth over 770 billion VND; coordinate with neighboring countries to search, collect, gather and repatriate the remains of 976 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese military experts who died in Laos for burial.

In the coming time, Military Region 4 and the Lao provinces sharing the border will continue to unify cooperation and coordination to closely grasp and manage the local situation, promptly inform each other of the situation related to the plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces, and build stable and developed border clusters and lines.
The two sides continue to cooperate in implementing the project of increasing the density and embellishing the system of national border markers as planned, cooperate with the country in researching, expanding and developing economic works and projects; closely coordinate in searching, excavating and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos during the war.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Ba Hung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Laos, highly appreciated the cooperation results between Military Region 4 and Laos in the past time, and hoped that in the coming time, Military Region 4 would continue to promote the role of units and localities in cooperating with Laos to ensure political security, social order and safety, promptly detect and prevent all plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces, and build a peaceful, stable and developed border between the two countries.
