Massacre in Ha Giang leaves 4 dead, 1 injured

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Binh district (Ha Giang province), a horrific massacre has just occurred in this district, killing 4 people and injuring 1 person.

This morning (December 1), Mr. Hoang Van Phuong - Deputy Chief of Office of Quang Binh District People's Committee (Ha Giang Province) said: At about 4:00 a.m. the same day, in Ta Ngao village, Tan Trinh commune, Quang Binh district (Ha Giang), a tragic incident occurred, killing 4 people (2 men, 2 women) and injuring 1 person (male). Currently, the police are present at the scene to handle the incident.

"The suspect who caused the above mentioned massacre was identified as Phu Minh T. (born in 1984), who was arrested by the police. Subject T. is mentally ill and was treated at the Central Psychiatric Hospital and just returned to his locality on July 7, 2016," said Mr. Phuong.

According to Mr. Phuong, upon receiving the information, the leaders of Quang Binh District People's Committee went to the scene to coordinate with the police to resolve the incident. Initially, Quang Binh District People's Committee supported the families of the deceased victims with 10 million VND/person, and the injured victims with 5 million VND/person.

Mr. Phuong added that the police are continuing to clarify the circumstances and motives of the crime, as well as information related to the above-mentioned massacre.
