Que Phong collected 198 units of blood on the 'Voluntary Blood Donation' festival

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 2, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Que Phong district coordinated with the Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion of Nghe An province to organize the 2016 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival.

This year's "Voluntary Blood Donation" Festival attracted 355 volunteers, including officers, soldiers, youth union members and local people. To achieve the set plan, the District Steering Committee had previously carried out propaganda and mobilization work and sent out the call "Let's donate blood together" to villages, agencies and units.

At the end of the festival, 198 units of blood were collected, contributing to sharing the difficulties of the health sector regarding blood shortage, creating a blood reserve, and being ready to respond to patients in need of blood.
