Que Phong: 12,556 households received rice support

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 8-9, Que Phong district received and distributed 280,275 tons of rice to support and relieve hunger for people affected by storm No. 4 and the floods in 2016.

Of the total 12,556 households receiving rice support this time, 3,731 households are in hunger, each receiving 15kg. Communes receiving large amounts include: Tien Phong with 2,456 households, Tri Le with 1,929 households, Muong Noc with 1,459 households. The reception and distribution of rice to households was carried out by Que Phong district in a timely manner, to the right subjects, in the right regime, and will be completed by hand delivery to the people before December 20.

Due to the impact of storm No. 4, Que Phong district experienced prolonged heavy rains, killing two people. Many areas of crops and infrastructure were damaged, with estimated damage caused by floods of over 10.3 billion VND.
