Last year, Minh Beo went to the US to tour, where he was investigated and arrested by US police on charges of child molestation.

The US court later sentenced him to 18 months in prison for three charges: "indecent assault with a child, arranging a meeting with a child (without the family's permission) and child enticement".

Needless to say, public opinion in the country was outraged by his despicable behavior. From then on, people called him a "pedophile", a criminal - the most disgusting type of disease.

And a few days ago, Minh Beo returned to Vietnam after completing his prison term in the US. The incident would not have caused such a terrible outrage from public opinion, from those who still have some morality and conscience, if he had not been hailed by some people as a "hero", or if he had shown some signs of remorse and regret for bringing shame to the country, for letting down Vietnamese fans, who had given him a career that many other true artists could only dream of. On the contrary, this person brazenly wrote a status on his personal page to "thank" everyone. It seems that this person has not yet realized that he is a public figure who has just committed a terrible crime, has tarnished the reputation of true artists and, in some ways, has lost the beautiful image of the Vietnamese people.

Many opinions on the online community reacted strongly when Minh Beo's return was welcomed with words full of sympathy and sharing; when some celebrities even congratulated his return.

For that kind of criminal, if people don't throw rotten eggs in his face every time he appears, it's already too altruistic. In the face of this strange phenomenon of "praise", the concern of many people about moral degradation and the reversal of values ​​is certainly not unreasonable.
