Participants dressed in traditional Christmas costumes gathered in Colon Square to take part in the 6km race. There were around 10,000 runners who took part in the race and they had to pay a fee of around 15 euros to participate.

Not only healthy people participated in the race, many people said that they were suffering from serious illnesses and participating in sports activities would help them feel better.

"As a cancer patient, I also participate in these sports activities. This is a fun, positive activity. Here you meet many people and learn many things. This is really helpful to overcome difficult times and this is also part of the treatment method," said Mariluz, a participant.

Not only can you enjoy the joy of Christmas, a part of the contest's profits will be sent to the Charity Fund to help patients with multiple sclerosis in Madrid./.
