In particular, the recently revealed image has shown the breakthrough changes on the new Suzuki Swift in terms of design style. At the front of the car, the radiator grille is renewed in a hexagonal shape and is surrounded by a chrome border. The headlights are designed more neatly when the curved lines have been removed compared to the previous generation, and at the same time, LED daytime running lights have been added. Suzuki Swift still retains the round fog lamp design, connected together by a dark plastic panel, creating a seamless look.
Still pursuing the personality that has been created from previous generations, in the 4th generation of Suzuki Swift, the A-pillar, B-pillar and C-pillar are painted glossy black, contrasting with the ceiling and body of the car. Swift still uses alloy wheels, 15 inches in size but designed in a 5-spoke style.
The new generation of Swift was developed by Suzuki based on the Baleno platform with a body weight of about 830 - 930 kg. In its home country of Japan as well as European markets, the 4th generation Suzuki Swift will be equipped with a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder Dualjet gasoline engine alongside a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged Boosterjet engine. Both engines will be combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The Boosterjet turbocharged engine version will have an additional 6-speed automatic transmission option.
Suzuki has not yet announced when this model will be introduced to the market.
