Around 9:00 AM on August 9, 2015, Lam Lam's father was playing with his daughter in the room while his paternal grandparents were resting on the first floor. The stepmother complained that Lam Lam was too dirty and took him upstairs to bathe. However, shortly afterward, Lam Lam's grandmother heard her grandson crying hysterically. Everyone rushed upstairs and found the woman surnamed Miao repeatedly stabbing Lam Lam with a kitchen knife. They quickly intervened and immediately took the child to the hospital.
