(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the peak month of the Ministry of Health's humanitarian medical examination and treatment program, community health care and Christmas 2016, on the morning of December 23, at the Bishop's Palace clinic in Doai commune (Nghi Dien - Nghi Loc), the Department of Health organized a health check-up for the elderly.

Medical staff give free medicine to the elderly

On this occasion, the delegation organized examinations, consultations and provided free medicine to more than 600 elderly people. Thereby, doctors mainly screened for cardiovascular diseases, geriatric diseases and advised on health protection measures for the elderly with diseases such as: high blood pressure, eye diseases, diabetes, etc.

This is one of the practical activities that contributes to promoting the participation of the entire political system and society in humanitarian medical examination and treatment activities, gradually improving the quality of activities and creating a regular movement in the community.
