A hotel in Portugal is considered a paradise for book lovers, as there are up to 45,000 books on display.
This hotel is located in the village of Obidos (Oeste sub-region), opened in October 2015 and quickly attracted the attention of tourists, especially those who love reading. |
The hotel has 30 bedrooms, and there are up to 45,000 books arranged everywhere. The books are in many fields, but mainly literature. |
Most of the books are written in English, Portuguese, French, German and several other languages. |
Visitors here are comfortable curled up in a warm blanket with their favorite book in hand. |
Bookworms also don't have to worry about being hungry or uncomfortable while reading a book and having to go out to eat, because the hotel kitchen is always ready to serve delicious dishes. |
Many visitors share that they feel great when they can enjoy their passion for reading in a special space, and be served food and drinks upon request. |
The hotel also has a reading room, furnished like a library with benches, a bar and a small restaurant. All have bookshelves so guests can read in any space. |
Jady Magalhães, the hotel’s owner, said guests can rent books to take home, or bring their own if they need to study. They can also add to the collection by donating more books. The hotel hopes to reach 100,000 books by the end of the year. |
