US claims to have evidence of Russian interference in election
(Baonghean.vn)- On January 4, US officials said that the country's intelligence agencies said they had collected what they considered convincing evidence after the US presidential election last November that Russia had provided information stolen from the Democratic National Committee to the WikiLeaks website through a third party.

Authorities have drafted a US intelligence report on the cyber intrusion and are expected to present it to President Barack Obama today and President-elect Donald Trump tomorrow, the source said.
The officials said the post-election intelligence provided the Obama administration with more compelling evidence of Russia’s full role in the hacking and leaking of documents than it did on October 7, the day US intelligence agencies announced they believed the hack was linked to Russia.
The White House spent four months debating before deciding to expel 35 Russian diplomats in late December in response to interference in the US election, the officials said. This action has further worsened relations between Washington and Moscow.
Recently, information about Russian hackers interfering in the US presidential election has divided the country's political community. President-elect Trump has expressed skepticism about accusations that Russian hackers sought to influence the recent election in this country, emphasizing that the WikiLeaks website has denied that Moscow was behind the recently published documents.
Meanwhile, in response to a request for comment on President-elect Trump's above statements, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that Mr. Trump's comments represented a "game of wits" between Russia and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange with 17 US government intelligence agencies, cyber experts and lawmakers from both the Democratic and Republican parties./.
