The resilience of two orphaned sisters in overcoming adversity.
(Baonghean.vn) - Parents passed away when they were just in second grade, two sisters overcome difficult circumstances.Nguyen Thi Ha Trang and Nguyen Van Nhung (7 years old) live in Block 2B, Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district. He is one of the exemplary students who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies.
Over six years ago, while returning from a trip to Que Phong, Trang's parents were tragically involved in a traffic accident. Her mother died instantly, and her father, Nguyen Van Thuan, remained bedridden until his passing in 2013. With their parents gone, the two sisters lost not only their daily support and care but also their emotional support. Their paternal grandparents had passed away, and their maternal grandparents lived far away, so the two sisters had to raise each other.
Initially, with the guidance and support of relatives who helped arrange family matters, the children were encouraged to continue attending school. Time passed quickly, and although there were times when the children faced the risk of dropping out, thanks to timely encouragement and guidance, both Trang and her sister tried their best to support each other in going to school.

From being students with special circumstances who needed a lot of everyone's favor, these two children have now overcome difficulties and become good children, achieving the title of advanced student at Tan Lac Town Secondary School, Quy Chau.
To achieve good academic results, Trang had to help her parents take care of the family every day, outside of school hours, from shopping for groceries to cooking. In her free time, Trang also worked part-time, sometimes drying incense sticks, and during the season, rolling incense for neighbors, earning 100-120 thousand dong a day. This money, along with the orphan allowance of over 400 thousand dong per month, helped Trang and Nhung overcome difficulties to attend school.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, the uncle of the two children, said: "Initially, seeing how difficult things were for the children, the family considered sending them to the SOS Children's Village for school, but it was quite inconvenient because it was far away. After making arrangements, the children felt more secure living nearby."
Given the unfortunate circumstances of the two children, the school and Tan Lac town have shown concern and provided support by: in addition to processing procedures to waive tuition fees and grant orphan benefits to the children, the People's Committee of Tan Lac town has forwarded the children's situation to the "Loving Leaves" program to appeal for charitable donations and assistance from the community.
Mr. Dau Cong Ha, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Lac town, said: the Party branch of Block 2B is planning to help the two children. Currently, they are surveying and finding out what kind of help Trang and Nhung need in the future in order to devise appropriate measures.
With the support and assistance of the school and family, the children have somewhat overcome their grief and loss. However, in the long term, for them to continue their education and, especially, to develop psychologically in a normal way, the encouragement and support of family, friends, and teachers are essential to help them become more confident and sociable.
