Nghe Tinh Port: Outstanding results

(Baonghean) -Nghe Tinh Port (Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company) is planned by the Government to become a national type I port, serving the socio-economic development of the region and inter-regions, with a scale of 8 berths allowing ships from 30,000 to 50,000 tons to enter and exit the port, with a capacity of 5 - 6 million tons/year.

Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company has a total charter capital of VND 215,172 billion, of which the State holds 10,973,772 shares, accounting for 51% of the charter capital. Implementing the equitization policy to improve competitiveness, the company has offered shares and attracted strategic shareholders. Specifically: Shares sold to strategic investors (Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company) are 3,894,156 shares, accounting for 18.10% of the charter capital, the rest are preferential shares sold to employees who commit to working long-term at the company.

Based on the results of the share sale according to the approved plan, up to now, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company has 556 shareholders, in which the decision on assigning the management of the capital contribution of Vietnam National Shipping Lines at Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company to Mr. Le Doan Long - General Director of Nghe Tinh Port One Member Co., Ltd.

Ships over 10,000 tons dock at Cua Lo Port.

Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company is a major investor in the port, and has been implementing a number of important infrastructure investment projects in Nghe An province, including the project to build a raw water supply system for Vinh City; industrial park infrastructure in the Southeast Economic Zone; berths 5 and 6 of Cua Lo Port with a total investment of up to 1,400 billion VND. Currently, Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company is constructing berth 5.

After equitization, Nghe Tinh Port has 20 business lines, from seaport exploitation to waterway and road transport, logistics services, etc. In addition, the port also does wholesale and retail business of gasoline, oil, machinery repair, and construction of all kinds of houses.

Currently, the port's loading and unloading equipment is increasingly modernized. The port has Q50 crawler cranes, 60T crawler cranes, KC4561 cranes (KPAZ7); 40T pedestal cranes; 50T hydraulic crawler cranes (KH180); 40T pedestal crane frames, 2 sets of grab frames, hundreds of excavators, loaders, grabs, trailers, tractors, trucks, warehouses, yards and many modern machinery and equipment to serve production and business... The invested equipment is effective and efficient, reducing costs and labor; labor productivity increases by 10 - 15%.

The company regularly pays attention to improving working conditions for employees by mechanizing production, doing a good job of labor protection, industrial hygiene and fire prevention and fighting; focusing on labor safety and hygiene, labor protection and fire prevention and fighting; regularly checking and fully equipping employees with labor protection equipment; implementing social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for nearly 600 employees.

Nghe Tinh Port always maintains good domestic container shipping routes of Japan - Vietnam, Atlantic; East Sea shipping lines. The average volume of container cargo through the port increases steadily, from 30 - 50%/year.

Currently, Nghe Tinh Port has welcomed and served ships with a capacity of nearly 23,000 tons into Cua Lo Port. (On July 5, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. at Cua Lo Port, for the first time, Thanh Thanh Dat 99 ship with a capacity of 23,000 tons docked at Cua Lo Port and safely loaded and unloaded goods). Accordingly, the channel into Cua Lo Port has been dredged to -7.2m, meeting the conditions for bringing 15,000-ton fully loaded ships and 20,000-ton partially loaded ships into the port.

Welcoming large tonnage ships into the port will create conditions for Cua Lo Port to successfully implement Decision No. 70/2013 of the Prime Minister on classifying seaports.

In 2015, for the first time, Nghe Tinh Port achieved an output of over 3 million tons, equal to 110% compared to 2014. Revenue was 176 billion VND.

In 2016, overcoming difficulties, the leadership and staff of Nghe Tinh Port maintained growth rate, cargo output and continued to have many effective innovations in operations, production, business, always serving and satisfying customers with a competitive, professional and trustworthy strategy.
