Female student of 'January Star': 'Follow your passion, success will follow you'

(Baonghean.vn) - As a representative of Nghe An students, it is an honor to be introduced to receive the "January Star" Award ofCentral Committee of Vietnam Students' Association, Phan Thi Quynh Trang, 3rd year student, Faculty of Literature, Vinh University has an admirable record of academic achievement and activities.

Well-rounded student

Phan Thi Quynh Trang is one of the most excellent candidates admitted directly to Vinh University with the achievement of Third Prize in National Literature Competition in 2014.

During her years at Vinh University, Quynh Trang was always among the top students with the highest average score in the whole school, actively participating in scientific research activities. Every school year, Trang received a scholarship.

Quynh Trang is a delegate of Nghe An Students attending the 2016 Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings.

In addition to studying, as a member of the Executive Committee of the School Youth Union, Quynh Trang is also a leading student in Youth Union and Association activities not only at school but also in society. She regularly participates in school clubs, teams, groups, community activities such as responding to Earth Hour, participating in performing arts, etc.

Trang also enthusiastically contributes to the exam support programs, mobilizes union members and young people to participate in voluntary blood donation and many other charity programs. No matter what activity she undertakes, with her passion and responsibility, Trang always creates a spreading of youthful spirit to union members and young people.

Quynh Trang and the school's Student Association successfully organized many programs with strong Vinh University student characteristics such as: SV 2016, VinhUni's Got Talent...

In particular, Quynh Trang loves to participate in the role of MC for seminars, cultural festivals... With her inherent courage and confidence, in major activities organized by the School Youth Union or the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Student Association, Trang always receives trust, representing the students to express their thoughts and aspirations.

With good academic achievements, dynamism, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility in school and class activities, at the 10th Congress of Vinh University Students' Association, term 2015 - 2018, female student Phan Thi Quynh Trang was elected to hold the position of President of the Association. Quynh Trang is the first female student of Vinh University to hold this important position at the age of 19.

Trang holds the position of Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Student Association.

Currently, Quynh Trang is also a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Student Association.

Becoming the “leader” of the Student Union at a very young age, but for Quynh Trang it did not become a pressure, because “beside me there is always a group of enthusiastic and creative students. Moreover, the activities of the Union and Association help me to mature more, have many opportunities to experience and learn.” Trang shared.

“Youth should live life to the fullest”

Trang's favorite quote is: "Follow your passion, success will follow you." This is also Trang's motto in life and dedication. She believes in human effort and success coming from passion, enthusiasm, strong will, and awareness of self-change to move towards comprehensive things in life.

Since childhood, Quynh Trang has dreamed of becoming a teacher, standing on the podium, accompanying generations of students. And the Faculty of Literature Pedagogy that Trang is studying is the cradle for this petite student to realize her dream. "Being trained in a pedagogical environment has helped me build a neat and serious style at work," Trang said.

Participating in extracurricular activities and volunteering is a way to help young people mature and accumulate life experience.

The most important task of students is still studying, but besides that, they still need to equip themselves with experiences and life skills to start a career after graduation. Quynh Trang believes that "youth never blooms again", so one must live life to the fullest.

As a student leader of the school, in order to increase the influence and call for students to participate in the activities of the Association, Trang believes that it is necessary to strongly innovate the form of education and gather members. Therefore, Trang and the school's Student Association always actively create diverse environments for students to experience such as talent competitions, cultural and artistic playgrounds, forums, where students can participate in criticizing policies related to students.

Sharing her feelings about being the only student from Nghe An province to be nominated for the "January Star" Award, Trang said: "It is the result of a long-term effort. The "January Star" Award is a noble award that any student would like to receive. It is also a source of encouragement for me to try harder in my studies and fulfill my future dreams."
