Russian Air Force to add more than 900 combat planes and helicopters

The Vpk military news site on December 21 quoted the First Deputy Commander of the Russian Air Force (VKS), Lieutenant General Paul Kurachenko, saying that by 2020, the Russian Air Force will receive more than 900 new combat aircraft and helicopters.

“Within the framework of the state rearmament program until 2020, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive more than 900 new aircraft and helicopters. About 900 others will also be modernized and repaired,” Lieutenant General Paul Kurachenko said.

Regarding anti-aircraft missile systems, by 2020, the Russian Air Force and Space Force plans to purchase more than 140 new military vehicles and air defense missile systems, more than 600 radar systems...
