VNPT Nghe An develops 623,000 mobile subscribers.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 10th, VNPT Nghe An held a conference to implement its 2017 plan.

Attendees included: Mr. Tran Manh Hung - Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group; LMs. Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and agencies in the province.

In 2016, amidst numerous difficulties and challenges, and while simultaneously implementing many tasks following restructuring, VNPT Nghe An and the VNPT - Nghe An Business Center strived to excel in fulfilling their assigned duties.

Thanks to the implementation of a restructured organizational model, optimizing and improving the quality of labor in line with the production-business model and service development orientation of the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, VNPT achieved high results. Total revenue reached 978 billion VND.

Currently, in Nghe An province, VNPT has 623,000 mobile subscribers generating revenue, 113,500 broadband subscribers, 24,131 Mt TV subscribers; 41,158 fixed-line telephone subscribers, and 1,328 data transmission subscribers... With outstanding results in 2016, VNPT Nghe An and the VNPT - Nghe An Business Center were awarded the Flag of Excellence for leading the emulation movement by the Government. Many collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and various Ministries and sectors.

The conference unanimously agreed on VNPT Nghe An's goals for 2017, which are to strive to become the network provider that delivers the best customer experience with the following objectives: Pioneering in the deployment of new technologies and services; Providing the best network and service quality; Providing the best service quality; Continuing to expand network capacity, strengthening network and service quality, and being ready to provide 4G services; Shifting the structure of traditional services towards IT & value-added services...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised VNPT's outstanding achievements in 2016, and emphasized: In the coming time, VNPT Nghe An needs to strive even harder to continue cooperating, developing, and deploying IT applications in the province, providing high-speed public services, implementing e-government, and developing smart cities. At the same time, it must strictly comply with State management regulations on IT infrastructure systems, especially BTS stations...

On the part of Nghe An province, we are committed to creating the most favorable conditions for VNPT's development and hope that the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group will soon implement investment and construction to make Nghe An one of the centers for information technology.
