Suspect arrested in child abuse case that caused outrage
On the evening of December 7, Major General Ho Sy Tien, Director of the Criminal Police Department (C45), confirmed that he had just arrested Nguyen Thanh Dung, a suspect wanted by Cambodian police for abusing children and posting a video clip online, causing outrage in the community.

Major General Tien said that immediately after receiving information and offensive images that caused public outrage about the child abuse by a suspect who was suspected to be Vietnamese, C45 forces stepped in to verify the information and search for the identity of the suspect.
Afterwards, the Royal Cambodian Police coordinated, provided and exchanged information to determine the exact time, location and identity of suspect Dung.
From the initial investigation results, C45 identified traces, identification and each movement of Dung and on the evening of December 7, C45 arrested Dung in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

Earlier, on December 6, police in Kompong Cham province, Cambodia, arrested a Dutchman and two Cambodians in connection with a video of child abuse that was circulated on Facebook. A fourth suspect, a Vietnamese named Nguyen Thanh (Nguyen Thanh?), is still at large.
Kompong Cham provincial deputy police chief Heng Sambath said the three suspects were being questioned about the child abuse video and the two-year-old boy's parents' allegations of rape.
According to the police report provided by Mr. Sambath, there was clear evidence that the child had been raped in the anal area.
According to the clip, a young man choked, clamped his finger, and used a stun gun to torture a baby despite the baby's crying.
The clip angered the online community, demanding that authorities investigate and severely punish the child abuser.
