Xuan Truong leads the poll for the most popular player in the AFF Cup.

In a short period of time, Luong Xuan Truong's vote count skyrocketed, leaving his rivals far behind in Goal's most popular player poll.

The prestigious sports website Goal is holding a poll to determine the most popular player at the 2016 AFF Cup. On the morning of December 16th, Xuan Truong was in second place with 27% of the votes, behind Boaz Solossa (Indonesia, 30%). However, after the article about this poll was published, the number of votes for Xuan Truong skyrocketed.

By noon on December 16th, Luong Xuan Truong's vote count had increased to 40%, firmly securing his leading position. Compared to Boaz Solossa (who only had 26% of the votes), Xuan Truong has a significant advantage in becoming the most popular player at the 2016 AFF Cup.

The voting will close after the 2016 AFF Cup final between Thailand and Indonesia on December 17th.

Besides Xuan Truong, the Vietnamese national team has another representative in this poll, striker Le Cong Vinh. Currently, Cong Vinh has received 3% of the votes and has little chance of being honored with this award.
