16 teams participate in the Nghe An Labor Newspaper Cup Football Tournament

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 20, at the Labor Club stadium, Nghe An Labor Newspaper organized the opening ceremony of a grassroots football tournament for all amateur and professional players in the province.

The Organizing Committee presented flags and flowers to the participating teams.

This is the third time Nghe An Labor Newspaper has organized a football tournament with the aim of promoting the development of the sports movement in general and the football movement in particular in Vinh City, creating conditions for physical training and exchanging experiences between units in the area.

The tournament will be attended by 16 teams divided into 4 groups, competing in the Cup format, including strong clubs such as FC Van Minh, FC Chuong Duong... who have participated in many quality provincial and national tournaments such as Vinh League, Hanoi League... The clubs ranked first and second in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The final match and award ceremony are expected to take place on the afternoon of December 29.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams of Group A and Group B entered the first round. With superior techniques and expertise, both FC Van Minh and FC Chuong Duong won with the same score of 3 - 1 against their opponents FC Yen Thanh and FC Hieu Hoang.
