Egyptian scientists announced that cancer treatment trials using gold particles on animals have shown many positive results, Egypt Independent reported on January 3. Egypt is considered a pioneer in the field of cancer treatment using gold.
According to Professor Ahmed Abdoun, a member of the research team, the experiment was conducted on 30 dogs, 9 cats and 2 horses. All had cancerous tumors, including breast cancer and skin cancer.
Scientists determined the stage of cancer in the animals by examining their body temperature, tumor size, blood biopsies, and tumor tissue. Next, the tumors were injected with 50-nanometer-sized gold particles.
After 10 minutes, the team used a laser to impact the gold molecules. Abdoun said the animals' health showed signs of positive progress after 5-32 days.
"The test results show that cancer treatment with gold particles does not harm genetic material or cause physical abnormalities. In addition, this method also has no side effects on liver and kidney function," Abdoun said.
