Organizations and localities give gifts to the poor on the occasion of Tet Dinh Dau 2017

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 17, agencies, units and localities organized gift giving to the poor and policy beneficiaries in the province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017.

*At the People's Committee of Nghia Mai commune (Nghia Dan),Delegation of Nghe An Provincial Political Schoolvisited and gave Tet gifts to poor households and students with especially difficult circumstances in the commune.

During this visit and gift-giving trip, the school gave 75 Tet gifts to poor households and students in especially difficult circumstances, each gift worth more than 500,000 VND, the total value of the gifts was nearly 40 million VND.

This is the heart of the cadres, employees, union members and youth of the Provincial Political School, contributing to helping people celebrate Tet more warmly and fully./.

Each gift is worth 300,000 VND, including cooking oil, fish sauce, candy, etc. The total value of the gifts is more than 30 million VND. The amount was donated by the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society from philanthropists in the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society also presented 240 warm coats to students of Chau Thanh Primary School.

This is a practical activity in response to the Tet for the poor movement to share difficulties with ethnic people in Chau Thanh commune to celebrate a warm and joyful Tet.

The delegation visited Hamlet 8, Thuong Son Commune to visit and present gifts to the relatives of martyr Nguyen Thi Van. Martyr Nguyen Thi Van was born in 1950 and died while on duty to keep traffic flowing at Truong Bon fire coordinates, My Son Commune.

In gratitude for that great sacrifice, the delegation presented gifts worth 1 million VND to the martyrs' families. The money was taken from the operating budget of the Management Board.

Previously, the Truong Bon relic site management board presented gifts to 12 families of the remaining martyrs in the districts of Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Hung Nguyen. The total amount of money presented this time was 13 million VND.
