(Baonghean.vn) - On December 23, the Association of Soldiers of the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 in Nghe An province organized the handover of a house of gratitude to Mr. Nguyen Minh Thu in Hamlet 16, Duc Son commune (Anh Son district).
Mr. Nguyen Minh Thu, residing in Hamlet 16, Duc Son Commune, Anh Son District, is a soldier of Regiment E48 who directly fought in the 81-day and 81-night battle to defend the ancient citadel of Quang Tri.
After returning to his hometown following his military service, his family faced numerous economic difficulties, becoming a poor household in the commune and living in a dilapidated, severely run-down house.
