Tet of this ethnic community usually takes place at the end of the 11th lunar month, and many places also celebrate it according to the solar New Year. The unique thing is that their Tet only lasts for 1 session or 1 day. Any family that celebrates Go Ro considers Tet over.

The Khmu people's Go Ro New Year takes place simply within the family and close relatives. A family that finishes the Go Ro ceremony is considered to have finished the New Year. |

At the beginning of the ceremony, the host takes the first jar of rice wine to offer to his ancestors. |

Then the chicken is butchered and displayed on the ancestral altar. |

The elderly take a little sticky rice and chicken and put it on the forehead of the young to wish them a happy new year, and then it is the children's turn to wish their grandparents back. |
