10 horrific fires and explosions in 2016

1. Fire at Binh Duong Chemical Company

| On March 16th, a chemical company located in the Song Than 3 industrial park in Binh Duong province suddenly caught fire, which then spread throughout the entire facility. The blaze completely destroyed 5,000 square meters of the building.2The factory and many other valuable items were damaged. The estimated damage is tens of billions of dong. |
2. House fire kills 6 family members in Ca Mau.

| The fire, which occurred at 0:15 AM on July 31st at house number 91, Phan Boi Chau Street, Ward 7, Ca Mau City (Ca Mau province), resulted in the deaths of six family members. The victims were Mr. Tran Quang Tien and his wife, Mrs. Tran Kim Anh (both 59 years old). Their two children were Tran Kim Hang (28 years old) and Tran Quang Toan (22 years old). Also killed were Mr. Tien's two grandchildren, Tran Thanh Vi (8 years old) and Quach Gia Hy (4 years old, Mrs. Hang's child). |

| On May 22nd, a horrific accident occurred in Ham Minh commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province, involving two passenger buses and a truck. Following the chain collision, the two sleeper buses and the truck burst into flames, trapping dozens of passengers inside who panicked and screamed for help. The fire resulted in 13 deaths and 36 injuries. This was the deadliest vehicle fire in Vietnam in 2016. |

7. Karaoke bar fire in Hanoi kills 13 people.
