1st Infantry Regiment bids farewell to soldiers completing their first military service.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 17th, the 1st Infantry Regiment, stationed in Giang Son Tay commune (Do Luong district, Nghe An province) under the 324th Division, 4th Military Region, held a farewell ceremony for 378 soldiers who had completed their military service in the first phase of 2017 and were returning to their hometowns.

During their time in service, soldiers constantly strive to improve themselves, train, and cultivate their character; they complete the content and programs of military, political, logistical, and technical training, and become proficient in using all types of weapons in their inventory…

After the ceremony, the units proceeded to settle all entitlements and benefits, resolving all outstanding issues with agencies, units, and individuals; organized training on the Military Service Law and the Reserve Mobilization Ordinance; and 100% of demobilized soldiers received vocational training cards. The units coordinated with vocational schools to promote vocational training and received a Tet gift bag from the Ministry of National Defense worth 310,000 VND.
Among the 378 soldiers discharged in this batch, 18 were admitted to the Party; 27 were awarded the title of Emulation Soldier, 142 were awarded the title of Advanced Soldier; 2 were awarded the title of Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings, and 1 received a certificate of commendation for their contributions to flood and storm prevention.

Tomorrow morning (January 18th), the 1st Infantry Regiment will organize transportation to bring the soldiers back to their respective localities. This is an important resource for supplementing the reserve military force.
