2 young men caught using taxi to transport 120 kg of illegal fireworks

(Baonghean.vn) – Duc and Hanh put 120kg of illegal fireworks in a taxi with the intention of selling them. As soon as they reached the intersection of the Vinh City bypass, the police suddenly appeared and arrested them.

Two subjects Hanh and Duc with the evidence were arrested.

On the afternoon of January 8, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Toan - Deputy Head of the Police Department of Investigation of Crimes on Economic Management Order and Positions of Nghe An Provincial Police (PC 46) said: The unit has just coordinated with Department 2, C74 - Ministry of Public Security to successfully destroy Project 117P, arresting 2 subjects buying, selling and transporting illegal fireworks.

After a period of monitoring and ambush, at about 3:45 p.m. on January 8, at the intersection of Vinh City bypass, passing through Nghi Hoa commune, Nghi Loc district, the working group discovered 2 subjects driving a taxi with license plate 37A - 321.03 on the way to transport illegal fireworks for sale. The detectives secretly approached, arrested 2 subjects with 3 boxes of illegal fireworks and brought them to the investigation agency for handling.

At the investigation agency, the identities of the subjects were determined to be Nguyen Nhu Duc (born in 1992), residing in Van Dinh hamlet, Canh Thanh commune and Cao Van Hanh (born in 1988), residing in Tan Hoa hamlet, Hoa Thanh commune, Yen district (Nghe An). The seized evidence included 60 firecrackers, 36 pieces each, made abroad, with a total weight of about 120 kg.

Previously, through reconnaissance work and information from the masses, the police force discovered that there was an illegal firecracker trading and transportation ring in Nghe An province. PC 46 Department of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with Department 2, C 74 - Ministry of Public Security to establish a special project coded 117P, and successfully organized the fight to destroy the above case.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the investigation agency.
