Incheon Club receives backlash from fans for criticizing Xuan Truong

Negative comments about the Vietnamese midfielder after his departure caused Incheon United's leadership to face a wave of criticism.

"Xuan Truong's departure is the result of my discussion with the club's management. Xuan Truong is not capable of playing for Incheon," said Incheon United's CEO, Mr. Kim Seok-hyun. "We saw that Incheon United did not receive much benefit from having Xuan Truong. Therefore, I think it would be better to let him go."

The above statements immediately met with angry reactions from Xuan Truong fans in Korea. "If you let him go, it's best to shut up and say goodbye properly," a Facebook account wrote. "What Incheon did was too bad. He used to be your player and when he left, you said that, it's really shameless."

Xuan Truong recently decided to leave Incheon after a year of association to join Gangwon. During his year playing at Incheon, Xuan Truong was only given the opportunity to play in the final rounds, when the home team struggled to stay in the league.However, the midfielder from Tuyen Quang always has compliments for the club. According to Xuan Truong, thanks to training in Incheon, he has been able to improve and progress as he is now.

"I decided to unfollow Incheon United's fanpage. Very disappointed. The club's CEO could have said something like 'Good luck, Luong Xuan Truong. We wish you great success in your next journey', but instead, he said 'Xuan Truong is not good enough to play for the team'," another Facebook account wrote. "First, they need to show respect to their players and learn how to say goodbye in a good way. Second, I disagree with them about the so-called 'not good enough'. Xuan Truong clearly showed us his talent every time he was given the chance to play in the K-League."

A share expressing disappointment with the statement of Incheon leader about Xuan Truong.

"Among Incheon's midfielders, is there anyone who can pass the ball like Xuan Truong?", another person asked. "Let's see who Incheon can find to replace this passing expert?"

Some other opinions hope that next season, Xuan Truong will score when meeting Incheon again in the K-League: "A club that doesn't respect its players, so I hope Xuan Truong will score against them. Then I will definitely be happy."
