Vietnam believes the killer of the Russian ambassador to Türkiye will be punished

Vietnam believes that this crime will be punished appropriately.

On December 20, 2016, in response to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's reaction to the assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Türkiye, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Hai Binh stated:

“Vietnam strongly condemns the shooting attack that resulted in the death of Russian Ambassador to Türkiye Andrei Karlov. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Russia and the family of Ambassador Andrei Karlov and believe that this crime will be punished appropriately.”

Also on December 20, in response to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's response to the truck attacks in Germany and the gun attacks in Switzerland that left many people dead and injured, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Le Hai Binh stated:

“Vietnam shares the pain and great losses of the victims' families and strongly condemns the attacks on innocent civilians.”

Responding to a reporter's question asking whether or not Vietnamese citizens were affected by the truck attack in Germany, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Hai Binh said:

“Immediately after receiving the information, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany urgently contacted local authorities and Vietnamese associations living, studying and working in Germany to find out information.

So far, there has been no information about Vietnamese people being affected by the attack. The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany has opened a hotline +491625391500 available 24/7 to receive information and promptly support Vietnamese citizens in distress.”./.
