Grocery store fire, 8 family members escape death
The fire broke out in the middle of the night, destroying all the property in the grocery store, causing an estimated loss of billions of dong. Luckily, 8 people in the family escaped death.

At about 1:00 a.m. on January 13, in Tan Phu village, Lam Son commune, Ninh Son district (Ninh Thuan), a large fire broke out at the grocery store of Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan.
At the time of the fire, 8 people in Ms. Loan's family were sleeping (including 6 family members and 2 of Ms. Loan's grandchildren who came to help sell).

Mr. Khanh (Mrs. Loan's husband) said that he was sleeping when he heard a loud bang. He jumped up and discovered the fire was burning and spreading throughout the house, so he quickly woke up the whole family, opened the door and ran away.
Upon receiving the news, Ninh Thuan Police dispatched 3 fire trucks and firefighters to the scene and by about 3 a.m. the same day (January 13), the fire was under control.

Mr. Khanh said that his family's house is 200 square meters wide. In addition to cash, furniture, computers, televisions, refrigerators, clothes, etc., the goods that had just been imported to sell during Tet were all burned, with an estimated loss of billions of dong.
A police officer examining the scene said the initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
