Upgrading Nghe An Television channel to HDTV standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 13, under the chairmanship of comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and gave opinions on the project "Investing in upgrading the management and broadcasting system of Nghe An television channel - NTV according to high-definition television (HDTV) standards".

Also attending were representatives from the Department of Information and Communications, Department of Science and Technology and a number of related departments, agencies and sectors.

The project "Investing in upgrading the management and broadcasting system of Nghe An - NTA television channel according to high-definition television (HDTV) standards" was built to improve the efficiency of production activities and improve the quality of broadcasting Nghe An television programs, and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work. This is also one of the contents of the project "Developing Nghe An Radio and Television Station to the level of regional stations, period 2014 - 2020".

According to the plan, to upgrade the channel management and broadcasting system to HDTV standards, the total investment will be more than 14 billion VND. Of which, it will be used to invest and upgrade equipment and broadcasting management software. Nghe An Radio and Television Station will be responsible for 35% of the cost and 65% of the cost will come from the provincial budget.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong said that the consensus in the opinions of the sectors showed that the Project to invest in the management and broadcasting system of NTV channel according to high-resolution television standards HDTV is necessary and needs to be implemented soon.

However, Nghe An Radio and Television Station needs to absorb the comments of some sectors, supplement, complete the project and clarify some information. During the implementation of the project, a Technology Advisory Council must be established and after approval, it must be deployed soon to complete in the period of 2017 - 2018. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Planning and Investment and Nghe An Radio and Television Station to coordinate to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to add to the medium-term investment plan./.
